Army Airstrikes Neutralizes ISWAP Commander, Others

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded success in the fight against the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) where scores of the terrorists were neutralized by airstrikes.

AllNws gathered that several commanders of the ISWAP and their members were killed around the Lake Chad region with the might of the NAF Super Tucanos.

The exercise was carried out under the Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian military.

According to reports, a senior commander of the ISWAP, Malam Ari who was heading the terrorists at the location was killed in the strikes.

Other terrorists neutralized include foreigners fabricating explosives for the terrorists.

The strikes came following an intelligence report that ISWAP terrorists numbering over 40 were converging at the KiKiraulgo.

The incident was confirmed by the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.
