Army Seeks Collaboration With EFCC In Maiduguri

The New Commander, 7 Division Garrison, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General J. Ibrahim has called  for more robust collaboration between the Army and the EFCC zonal command in Maiduguri.

He made the call today during a courtesy visit to Maiduguri Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Shuaibu Umar in his office.

He said the Army considers the EFCC a strategic partner, adding that the Division looks forward to working with the Miaduguri Command of the EFCC especially in the light of the forthcoming general elections and national census.

“I look forward to your enhancing my activities especially in this period of electioneering and general census; so we have started early so that nothing takes us unawares”, he said.

Responding, Umar thanked the Garrison Commander for the visit and assured him of the full support of the EFCC at all times.

“There is a serious synergy between the two institutions and the visit can only strengthen that.

“Operationally, we have been working together in some areas in which the Nigerian Army gives support in terms of security cover during our activities”, he said
