Security agencies have been urged to apprehend all those who pose a threat to the swearing-in of Bola Tinubu as the nation's president on May 29.
The call was made by the director of the defunct Diaspora Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Ade Omole, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Omole's words were in reaction to netizens asking for the inauguration to be halted due to the petitions at the Presidential Election Tribunal Court.
Speaking on May 29, he stated that Tinubu's inauguration cannot be stopped as it is sacrosanct and fully backed by Nigeria's constitution.
Expressing confidence in the security agencies, Omole called for the arrest of those who are opposed to the scheduled event.
“No one can stop the inauguration of Senator Bola Tinubu, the president-elect scheduled for May 29.
“Tinubu’s inauguration is sacrosanct because it is fully backed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“No one can stop the inauguration at this point. We are aware of a few disgruntled elements posting inciteful and treasonable statements on social media.
“We are confident that the security agencies have the capacity to deal ruthlessly with any breach, and therefore call on them to arrest such persons immediately”, he stated.
