Arsenal break 14-year jinx, moves to UCL quarterfinals

Premier League club Arsenal edged out Porto on penalties to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2010 on Tuesday after their last-16 tie finished 1-1 on aggregate.

Leandro Trossard’s first-half strike gave Arsenal a 1-0 second-leg win at the Emirates after their defeat in Portugal before David Raya’s two saves secured a 4-2 victory in the shoot-out.

Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice were all on target for Arsenal as David Raya saved from Wendell and Galeno to seal victory for Mikel Arteta's side amid scenes of wild celebration.

However, Arsenal's next game is the mammoth clash with Premier League champions Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on the 31st of March as Arteta now has time to take a breath and regather his forces in a position of real strength.
