Arsenal Demolish PSV In Champions League Return

Arsenal sealed a thumping 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at Emirates Stadium to mark their return to the Champions League after a six-year wait.

The hosts took the lead inside eight minutes when Bukayo Saka picked up a rebound and converted it into an easy goal.

They then increased their lead 12 minutes later when Saka provided Leandro Trossard with a nice pass before he rifled a first-time shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Gabriel Jesus added the third when latched onto Trossard's cross and struck the ball inside the left post to send Mikel Arteta's side  flying high into half-time.

Arsenal remained in cruise control after the break and should have added the fourth on 62 minutes, but Jesus fired just wide of the left post from inside the box.

Eight minutes later, captain Martin Odegaard controlled a killer pass on the box and drilled a shot into the bottom right corner in a trademark fashion to wrap up an emphatic win.

The result sees Arsenal move to the top of Group B, two points clear of Lens and Sevilla, while PSV sit in last position on the log.
