Arsenal Flop Pepe Completes OGC Nice Move

Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal have confirmed that Nicolas Pepe has joined OGC Nice on loan until the end of the season.

Pepe joined Arsenal in a club-record deal of £72m from Lille in 2019, but he has struggled for form at the Emirates.

The Gunners announced via a statement on their website that the Ivory Coast winger has sealed a return to Ligue 1.

"Everyone at Arsenal wishes Nico well in France with Nice next season."

The 27-year-old contract is set to expire in 2024, and he has failed to make any appearance for the Gunners this season.

He scored 27 goals in 111 matches for Arsenal in all competitions and also won the FA Cup in 2020.

Pepe was successful the last time he played in France for Lille, scoring 35 goals in 74 matches.
