Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard speaks after dramatic lost

Martin Odegaard Becomes Captain of Arsenal

Arsenal lost 0-2 at home against West Ham United and Captain Martin Odegaard has bemoaned their defeat to poor finishing.

West Ham United edged Arsenal thanks to a goal in each half from Tomas Soucek and Konstantinos Mavropanos (former Arsenal defender who was calm in the celebration of his goal at the Emirates).

However, in a news chat, Arsenal skipper Odegaard warned the team to move on from the defeat to London side West Ham at the Emirates.

Odegaard said: “It’s one of those nights. We had a lot of chances and did enough to score some goals, but in the box, we were not good enough. We take the good things and learn from the things we didn’t do well.

“We created enough and had some big chances. We’re together as a team. It's not about some players [not scoring]. We have to improve in front of the goal and it’s down to the whole team to do that.

“I guess it was a close call [whether the ball was in play or out for the first goal]. Hopefully, they have made the right call there. Still, after that, we had enough chances to win the game.”

Captain Martin Odegaard should also be in top form to inspire his side to the three points at stake as Arsenal takes on another London side Fulham in the next Premier League match.
