Arsenal To investigate Vile Abuse At Pepe, Alioski After Leeds Match

Arsenal To investigate Vile Abuse At Pepe, Alioski After Lee

Arsenal winger, Nicholas Pepe was sent off after a headbutt against Ezgjan Alioski which earned him a red card after a VAR review in a 0-0 draw against Leed United on Sunday.

AllNews understands that Arsenal was fortunate to go away without conceding against the ever-scoring Leeds United despite the red card against Pepe.

The North London club released a statement earlier on Monday addressing the situation after the headbutt with Ezgjan Alioski stating that further investigations will be done to ascertain those responsible for the social media insults hurled at the players.

"We utterly condemn the vile abuse directed at Nicolas Pepe and Ezgjan Alioski on social media following our match against Leeds", the statement says.

"This is completely unacceptable and we will be working with the police and authorities to do everything we can to trace and prosecute the culprits" the press release concluded.

Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta in his post-match conference said about Pepe's red card, "It's very clear, it's unacceptable. It's unacceptable".

Despite the investigation, Pepe could face some discipline in the club at the outburst despite whatever could have led to it.

Pepe will face numerous scrutinies after the challenge as it has been drawing several investigations even from the England FA.
