ASUS Unveils 'World's First' 500Hz G-Sync Gaming Monitor [VIDEO]

ASUS has unveiled a new 500Hz G-Sync gaming monitor that features a 'E-TN" (eSport TN) panel and NVIDIA's G-Sync eSport to maximise motion and celerity in competitive gaming.

According to ASUS, it is the "world's first" gaming monitor with such features and the 500Hz refresh rate draws eight times faster than traditional 60Hz panels.

For gamers who use a Reflex-optimized mouse and an NVIDIA GPU, it also employs NVIDIA's Reflex Analyzer technology, which provides real-time metrics to assist you reduce end-to-end latency.

ASUS has assured gamers of faster response time while using the new eSport TN Technology than traditional TN panel.

It also has an increased Vibrance mode embedded into the monitor's firmware, according to ASUS. It's designed to allow more light to pass through the LCD crystals, increasing color vibrancy and "enabling you to pick up details and highlights that can give away an enemy's position," according to the description.

The four new Reflex games released by NVIDIA are Icarus, My Time at Sandrock, Soda Crisis, and Warstride Challenges while 500Hz G-Sync Competitive games such as CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege require special displays

NVIDIA also produced a video (below) demonstrating the advantages of higher refresh rates, including enhanced target tracking, minimum ghosting, and lower system latency.

NVIDIA in a press release stated that the NVIDIA Reflex "NVIDIA Reflex is a must-have in games, reducing system latency so your actions occur quicker, making you more competitive in multiplayer matches, and making single-player titles more responsive.

It’s available in the most popular multiplayer and esports games, supported on GeForce graphics cards dating back to the 900 Series, and it takes only a single click to enable."
