ASUU: AAU Lecturers Drag Edo Government To Court Over Strike

The lecturers of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma under the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have charged the government of Edo State to court over the suspension of the union's strike in the university.

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Benin Division received an affidavit supporting the summons by the lecturers on Monday, June 14, 2022.

In the summons, the first claimant, Dr. Cyril Oziegbe Onogbosele disclosed that the interest of the members of the ASUU branch of the institution is being threatened by the defendants who have chosen to ignore the problems leading to the strike action.

The defendants named in the summons are the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, the state Attorney General, and the Edo State Government.
