ASUU: Benue Varsity Reopens Following Indefinite Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Benue State University (ASUU-BSU) has reopened the institution for academic students after it suspended its indefinite strike.

AllNews Nigeria reported that the ASUU Chapter commenced an indefinite and comprehensive industrial action over what it described as  “several problems” with the management. 

In a press release signed by the registrar of the university, Dr Mrs Mfaga Modom, students of the institution are requested to resume their studies on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

"Following the suspension of the strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU-BSU), the Benue State University has reopened for academic activities.

"All categories of students are hereby requested to resume on Wednesday, 21, 2023 and complete all registration processes and settle down for studies," the statement read.
