President Buhari's Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and the Minister for Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige are set to meet with members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Thursday to discuss issues concerning the prolonged strike.
Daily Post reports that a member of ASUU from the University of Abuja chapter disclosed this information.
The meeting which will have members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and other registered university unions in attendance will be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting with the unions intends to find solutions to the prolonged strike by the unions.
AllNews Nigeria reports that ASUU extended its rollover strike by 12 weeks on Monday over the government's failure to meet its demands.
