ASUU: EKSU To Resume Academic Activities Amid Strike

The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti has announced that the institution will resume academic activities on Tuesday, May 24, amid the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.

Director of Information and Corporate Affairs, EKSU, Bode Olofinmuagun made this known in a statement released after a meeting on Monday.

According to the institution's spokesman, the effects of the industrial actions by the four university-based unions were discussed.

Olofinmuagun added that the administration of the institution was concerned with the impact of the strike on students and parents.

He noted that while the 2020/2021 second semester was not yet concluded, the 2021/2022 academic session was still outstanding and that of "the 2022/2023 session will commence soonest".

The statement also added that the resumption of academic activities in the institution was for the good of the students, parents, guardians, the society and for the survival of the institution.
