Emmanuel Osodeke
The President of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU), Professor Emmanuel Osodeke has said one day is enough for the federal government to resolve the issue with the union and see to the end of the strike.
Speaking in a video by Arise Television, the President said if the government was interested in resolving the impasse, it should not take one to two days to find a solution.
Osodeke advised the national assembly to summon the courage to enforce politicians interested in holding any position to make sure their children school and receive treatment in Nigeria, maintaining that doing such will leave them no choice but to get involved in education.
On forcing the striking lecturers back to work, the President condemned the Minister of Labor, Senator Chris Ngige for dragging the matter to the court while ASUU was waiting to receive feedback from the President.
The ASUU boss also revealed that none of the concerned ministers has called for a meeting with the union for over a month.
ASUU has been on strike for over seven months to reiterate its demands to the federal government.
