ASUU Strike: PDP Accuses Buhari Of ‘Hypocrisy And Double S

Following the lingering Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of 'hypocrisy and double standard' in a shared video on Twitter.

AllNews understands that the shared video by the opposition party was an old interview video with the TVC News where President Buhari was seen condemning the PDP for neglecting the academic sector, stating that his manifesto decries it.

While reacting to the lingering Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) strike at the time, Buhari slammed the then ruling party for not settling the academic union so that students can resume their lectures, noting that the administration set its priorities on things that are not relevant.

According to the shared video by PDP Vanguard on Twitter read, "If you want to know the impeccable definition of hypocrisy and double standard, just watch this video, and retweet aggressively."

However, this online news medium recalls that ASUU has been on strike since March this year to drive home its demands to the Federal Government.

It is over nine months now, the union and the federal government are yet to reach compromise on how to resolve the lingering situation.
