The University of Lagos (Unilag) and Bowen University are in a social media battle to have singer Rema as a student in their institution.

"ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o, e don do nau!"
Bowen University was quick to respond, informing the singer that ASUU won't delay him if he enrolled in the private institution.
"ASUU can’t delay you if you’re enrolled in Bowen University."
Responding to Bowen's open invitation, Rema said he is fascinated.
"Unilag private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it."
However, Unilag was quick to remind Rema that he was chosen by the university and should not to let any other institution change his mind.
"Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o. Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o…Rema no dey vex for us o."
