Atiku Set For Arsenal Transfer

Atiku Set For Arsenal Transfer

Former vice president of Nigeria and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar may be changing careers from politics and business to football soon.

In a recent video posted by his son Mustapha ‘Musty’ Abubakar, on Twitter, Atiku was seen kicking a football and enjoying his leisure time without stress. Musty captioned the video; “Here’s my dad @atiku getting ready ahead of next summer’s transfer window.”

On a lighter note, Atiku, who is an ardent fan of Arsenal, asked why he couldn’t play for Arsenal against Man City on Sunday instead of waiting for summer.

This coming Sunday, EPL table toppers, Manchester City and 10th-places Arsenal, will battle each other. Even though Arsenal will be at home, the odds favour Pep Guardiola’s men. Man City has won 17 straight games in all competitions, last failing to win in a 1-1 draw against West Brom on December 15, and last losing on November 21 against Tottenham.

Atiku is one of the politicians who do not joke with sporting activities as he loves exercising even at the age of 74. So many times, he has posted photos of himself working out on social media.

He became one of the first Nigerians to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in January. He reportedly took the Pfizer vaccine in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, to prevent symptomatic cases of COVID-19.

What role do you think he will fit into in Arsenal? A goalkeeper, striker, or perhaps, the coach?

Arsenal fans, is our dear former Vice President welcome to the fold?
