In ‘Spending’, Johnny Drille diverges slightly from his usual love-themed lyrics, shifting his focus to the role of finances in relationships.

The song highlights the significance of money in fostering a healthy connection between partners.

While Johnny Drille remains true to his belief in love, he also emphasizes the value of investing financially in a romantic relationship.

Johnny Drille took to his Instagram ahead of the song’s release to express his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Don Jazzy once again.

He wrote, “From ‘How Are You (Friend)’ to ‘Believe Me’, Jazzy and I have made timeless music even for generations to come, and I feel really humbled to have this gift and to be able to collaborate time and time again with someone i admire so much and am inspired by.”
