Audio Leak: Peter Obi Is A Liar, Can't Sue For Defamation — Sowore

Popular activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has lashed out at Labour Party's presidential flag bearer Peter Obi over his claim that the leaked audio conversation with Bishop Oyedepo is fake.

Obi distanced himself from the audio in a statement on Wednesday, threatening legal action while calling on Nigerians and the international community to tell the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop their "nasty attacks".

Reacting to Obi's denial, Sowore slammed him, saying that it is a coverup aimed at intimidating Gazette, the news outlet responsible for breaking the leaked audio story.

According to the #RevolutonNow convener, should Obi carry out the threat, he will end up abandoning it halfway on the pretext of being benevolent.

"@peterobi is A LIAR and a chronic LIAR can’t sue for defamation or libel, this is grandstanding to cover up for the “YES DADDY” phone scandal, aimed at intimidating @GazetteNGR.

"If at all he dares sue @GazetteNGR, he will abandon the lawsuit halfway and claim he’s forgiven you guys out of benevolence", the post reads.
