Award Snub: Stop Being Bitter, Celebrate With Others — Sha

Media personality Shade Ladipo has reacted to actress Ruth Kadiri's criticism of Nollywood over her recent award snub at the Eko Star Film and TV Awards.

Recall that AllNews Nigeria reported that Kadiri had slammed the organizers of the Eko Star Film and TV Awards, singling out the likes of Mo Abudu and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism for "overlooking" her efforts.

Now, Shade Ladipo has replied the angry Nollywood star via her Instagram page, reminding her that there was no platform like the Eko Star Film and TV Awards last year.

She says that Abudu should be celebrated while she is alive because she has used her platforms to constantly celebrate women, advising Kadiri to celebrate with others so that they would celebrate with her.

Ladipo said, "For the actress (atink it was Ruth Kadiri because there are so many 'actresses' now) who didn't get recognized this year, remember that last year there was no platform like this to even be recognized.

"So instead of being bitter, be better. Now there is a platform and maybe next year will be your year or maybe not. Let's give Mo Abudu her flowers while she's alive abeg.

Every platform this woman has she uses to celebrate women constantly. Celebrate with others and maybe they will celebrate with you."
