AXA Mansard Says Sustainable Business Practices Key To Increase Profitability

As businesses face increasing operating costs, experts at AXA Mansard have said that sustainable business practices are ways to reduce costs, protect the environment and increase profitability

According to a statement, the sustainability webinar was a part of the week-long AXA Week for Good event, a week meant to commemorate AXA’s international volunteering programme called ‘AXA Hearts in Action.

Rashidat Adebisi, the Chief Clients Officer, AXA Mansard, commenting on the initiative, said, “As a leader in the global insurance space, we challenge ourselves to always be in the frontline of creating initiatives that solve problems.

“This is in line with our purpose which is to act for human progress by protecting what matters, thus, this value-adding webinar was organised as part of the AXA Week for Good to engender co-creation of ideas to address a pressing problem that impacts all of us today.”

According to the statement, AXA will play a positive role in society by building a culture that would promote sustainability and employee volunteering to support communities in countries where AXA operated.

The webinar themed ‘Reducing business costs with sustainability programmes’ focused on various sustainability measures that could be embarked on to reduce business costs and achieve a sustainable environment for everyone to live in.

Mariam Lawani, the Founder of Greenhill Recycling, said, “Every business must decide on a course of action that benefits customers as well as the enterprise.

“Businesses must take responsibility for their actions and start prioritising environmental advancement above profits. Our collective future is significantly influenced by the behaviour of current enterprises.

"All industries will need to implement structural reforms and reinvest in the society in order to achieve the target SDGs by 2030.”
