Ahead of the official premiere of the highly-anticipated film Ayinla, lead star Adedimeji Lateef has shared the lessons he learned while preparing to play the protagonist in Tunde Kelani's latest movie.
Speaking via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the award-winning star said he wanted to whet the appetite of fans before the film's arrival on Friday, June 18, 2021.
Lateef said that when he got the movie brief, he wondered how he would be able to delve into the musical part, hinting that playing a character who was known to project Akpala music was a daunting task.
He said, "I was going to wait for everyone to see it before I do this, but I also saw a need to whet your appetite ahead of the Friday cinema release, so shall we?
"I totally agree that in the process of learning too many things at the same time, we lose track of our main calling, but in the world of today, you can't survive on just one niche...
"When Ayinla brief came, I wondered how I'd sink into the musical part, make no mistakes, I love music, been flirting with music for a while, but Apala music? E choke small...
