Bagudu Approves Financial Support For Victims Of Dan-Ummaru

The Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has approved financial support for victims of the Dan-Ummaru community banditry attack.

During the recent attack in the community at Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of the state, some security agents lost their lives while others sustained injuries.

The governor's approval was to support the families of the deceased and the injured officers.

This was contained in a statement on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Babale Umar Yauri.

Yauri said the gesture was in the tradition of Governor Bagudu's administration of assisting security agents who lost their lives or were wounded while in gallant action.

"The assistance was extended to the victims' families at the office of Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, CP. Lawal Abubakar Daura through the Department of Special Services, Office of the Secretary to the State Government," he said.

The Governor who condemned the act also condoled the Inspector General of Police, Kebbi State Commissioner of Police as well as the families of the victims over the incident, praying Allah to forgive them and grant them Jannatul Firdausi.
