Bala Receives Certificate Of Return, Pledges Justice For All

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has received his certificate of return as the re-elected governor from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The governor received the certificate alongside his Deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau and other elected members of the state's House of Assembly.

The INEC National Commissioner in charge of Borno, Yobe and Bauchi states, Major General Modibbo Alkali (rtd), made the presentation of the certificates on Friday in Bauchi.

Alkali noted that the recipients of the certificates have fulfilled the requirements of Nigeria's 1999 constitution as elected persons with the highest number of votes in the just-concluded governorship and state assembly elections.

While adding that the certificates signify the authenticity of their elections, he charged them to guard it.

Shortly after receiving the certificate, Governor Bala appreciated the people of Bauchi state for giving him another chance to serve them.

He also dedicated the certificate to the people for bestowing on him their trust for a second term.

The governor further called on other contestants who lost in the elections to come and join him to move the state forward.

He also pledged to be just to everyone in the discharge of his constitutional duties.

He added that he would consolidate the gains recorded so far and initiate new policies for the betterment of the people.
