Bamise's Murder: Court Remands BRT Driver Over Alleged Murde

A court has ordered the remand of the BRT driver arrested in connection to the murder and rape of a passenger in Lagos State.

A Yaba Magistrates’ court in Lagos on Friday, ordered that a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) driver, Andrew Omininikoron, be remanded for 30 days in Ikoyi Custodial Centre for alleged murder and rape of 22-year-old girl Oluwabamise Ayanwole. 

The deceased was last seen inside a Lagos BRT vehicle on Saturday, February 26 and was found dead on Monday, March 7, 2022.

The police, promptly arrested Omininikoron, on the same day.

Ayanwole went missing while returning to Otta from Ajah after she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi at about 7:00 p.m. at Chevron Bus Stop.
