Banditry: Civilian JTF Foils Attack On Katsina Community, Ki

The Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Katsina State has repelled a bandits' attack on Batsari local government area of the state.

During the attack, the CJTF recorded success in eliminating nine of the attackers while capturing five others.

Leadership reports that a credible source revealed that the attackers invaded at 4:30 pm on Sunday while on ten motorcycles and in possession of sophisticated weapons. 

The source added that the attackers were confronted by the men of the CJTF who stopped the attack. 

The team also recovered nine motorcycles out of the ten rode on by the attackers. 

According to reports, the town had been attacked recently leading to the abduction of some persons. 

Katsina State is one of the North-Western states that has been battling the influx of bandits terrorising communities.

Meanwhile, the Katsina State Police Command has not released a statement on the attack.
