Banditry: One Month After, 36 Katsina Abductees Regain Freed

Bandits have released the 36 persons abducted from Katsina after one month in captivity.

The abductees were abducted in Guga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The abductees regained their freedom on Sunday at 6:00 pm.

They were released after the Guga community paid N21,000,000 ransom.

One Alhaji Mahdi Danbinta Guga whose wife was among the released victims corroborated the report to Daily Trust saying, the victims were released after the community paid N21,000,000.

However, an official statement from the Katsina state police command has not been made available in respect of the development.

Katsina State is one of the North-Western states that has been battling banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling.
