Bandits Kidnap Nassarawa NSCDC Commander's Wife

Unknown gun wielding men have reportedly kidnapped wife of the Commander, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)’s Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant Apollos Dandaura in Nasarawa State.

Sources reveal that the Commander's younger brother who also works for the NSCDC was shot on the leg, but left behind.

Reports indicate that the incidence occurred on Wednesday at about 8:30pm where the Commander’s wife was kidnapped around B. A road in Lafia.

The invsders who were carrying AK-47 rifles, invaded the victim’s residence and started shooting sporadically to scare residents of the area before they took the victim away from their Lafia residence.

The brother is confirmed to be currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lafia and is reportedly responding to treatment.

Confirming the kidnapping on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Jerry Victor, stated that the whereabouts of the victim was still unknown.

According to him, the command had already deployed its personnel to the area in order to rescue the victim unhurt, adding that the kidnappers are yet to reach out to the command and the family of the victim.
