Bandits Release 28 Bethel Baptist High School

Twenty-eight of the kidnapped students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna have regained freedom.

AllNews Nigeria recalls that Bethel Baptist High School students who were kidnapped from their hostels by bandits on July 5, regained freedom after 20 days in captivity.

The Kaduna state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), Joseph Hayab confirmed their release on Sunday.

One of the abducted students was on July 11 rescued by security operatives alongside two other victims.

Two other students escaped on July 20 when they were tasked to go and fetch firewood from a nearby forest.

Meanwhile, a total of 121 students were abducted from their hostels.

Abduction was the fourth mass abduction in Kaduna schools in the last seven months of deteriorating insecurity in North-west and North-central states.
