Bandits Return To Kaduna-Abuja Highway, Abduct Scores

The return of bandits on the Kaduna-Abuja highway has led to the abduction of many travellers on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the bandits blocked the road and operated freely for about an hour.

Victims of the attack were passengers on private and commercial vehicles.

Daily Trust reports that the incident took place between Kurmin Kare and Katari villages of Kachia local government area of Kaduna state along the highway.

AllNews gathered that this comes less than 24 hours after bandits attacked Katari village and abducted 16 people.

The recent abduction on the highway took place around 4 pm on Tuesday.

A corp member had been killed by a stray bullet a few days ago when bandits and security forces exchanged fire on the highway.

Meanwhile, security operatives have since been deployed to the highway.

However, the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Muhammad Jalige, has not released an official statement on the incident.
