Kounde will be Barcelona's 5th signing of the summer after Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, and Robert Lewandoski.
He is identified as the final piece in the new Barcelona that Xavi Hernandez is building basically due to his defensive prowess and ball-playing ability.
Kounde is aggressive and capable of maintaining high pressure on strikers while also keeping his cool head.
The 23-year-old centre-back was crucial to Sevilla's defence last season despite ending the season trophyless but during his 4-year stay at Sevilla, he won a Europa League title and the UEFA Nations League with France.
Currently, he will be a major signing for Barcelona given his age and track record but some critics would suggest he doesn't end up like his compatriot Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet.
