Joan Laporta Barcelona's President

Barcelona President Joan Laporta had made a clear stance on Frenkie De Jong's despite speculation of transfer to Manchester United.

De Jong has been Erik Ten Hag's top target after joining the Old Trafford in June.

The Dutch man is interested in reuniting with his fellow countryman De Jong making him Man Utd's top target.

At Ivorian Midfielder presentation in Barcelona on Wednesday, Laporta reiterated the club's stance on De Jong by saying, “De Jong is a Barcelona player and we, unless we need to, don’t want to sell him."

“We know he has offers. If at anytime one of them interested us, we would sell him. But right now we’re not going to.”

Barcelona already made three signings - Pablo Torres, Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.

They have been able to break way with their top target Robert Lewandowski while Bernando Silva has also been mentioned as a replacement should De Jong leave on big move to Man Utd.

Unresolved at the Spotify Camp Nou are Ousmane Dembele's contract while Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet have also been asked to move on.
