Barca Renew Gavi's Contract, Set Release Clause At €1B

Barcelona have successfully kept another one of their future players in Gavi as they tied the Spanish midfielder till 2026 with a release clause set at €1B.

Barca who suffered their first season loss to Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena to end their unbeaten run in all competitions made a happy announcement on Wednesday as they retained the services of Gavi.

Gavi 18, has established himself as a regular player at Spotify Camp Nou, he made his debut under Dutch manager Ronald Koeman. Since then he has been able to prove to Xavi Hernandez, that he is an asset.

Gavi scored his first goal for the blaugranes in December 2021 in a 3-2 win over Elche, becoming the third youngest ever goalscorer for the Club. 

At just 18 years of age, he is already a key member of Luis Enrique's national Spain squad. 

As a midfielder, he is well versed in Barça's style of play and has come through the youth system at La Masia. Technically gifted and a defensively valuable asset on the field, Gavi is a player all coaches would love to have in their squad.
