Barcelona's La Liga match against Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid on Tuesday is perhaps coach Quique Setién's most-important assignment this present season. This, as the Blaugrana currently trail Real Madrid by two points on the log.

AllNews reports that there are six matches left to decide whether Lionel Messi and co will retain the crown they won by 11 points last season. But with another tough match to come versus Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday, there is no room for any further blunder for the twenty-six time La Liga champions.

Safe to say that both Spanish giants have not been entirely convincing this term, yet, a Cristiano Ronaldo-less Real is leaving behind Lionel Messi-propelled Barca and marching towards a record-extending 34 La Liga title.

They are the only team in La Liga with a 100% record since the competition returned earlier this month.

On paper though, Real don't have it easy - same as Barcelona.

Los Blancos visit the San Mamés on Sunday to confront Athletic Bilbao. This, after hosting a dangerous opponent, Getafe, this Thursday.

This is followed by winnable games against Alaves, Granada, Villarreal, and Leganes.

Despite their performances sometimes not being top-notch, and detractors alleging referee favouritism, they still do manage to grind out the wins.

We've witnessed that against Real Sociedad and relegation-destined Espanyol.

Club icon, Zinedine Zidane was the last man to win the La Liga title for Real Madrid (in 2016–17), and in his first full season with Los Merengues since his comeback in March 2019, his wards could scoop the crown come the 19th of July.

Leo Messi is Atlético Madrid's worse nightmare. He has netted no fewer than 20 goals against Atlético, 17 in the league and 3 in the Cup
