Basketmouth Unveiled As Host Of First Nigerian Amazon Original Series 'LOL'

Stand-up comedian Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has been slated to host the Nigerian version of the Amazon Original series 'Last One Laughing' (LOL).

The series will feature a cast of stand-ups competing to make each other laugh first with the final comedian left standing winning an undisclosed cash prize.

The Amazon Original series will use dozens of cameras to catch all of the hilarious action during the unpredictable competition and follow a select group of talented comic acts who will bring various styles to the table, including stand-up, improvisational, and physical comedy.

The show is an adaptation of the successful Japanese Amazon Original series created by Hitoshi Matsumoto.
 
The fan-favourite format leads comedians in an anything-goes "battle of laughter behind closed doors."

Being a hit in 11 countries, Nigerians will now have a version.

The development comes after Amazon Prime Video announced its arrival and availability to the Nigerian audience.
