The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has assured of strengthening ties between his state and Plateau State.
He noted that his administration's commitment towards unity amongst the states would pave the way for economic development and benefit the people of the states.
He stressed the need to recognize and respect the common heritage between the states.
As contained in a statement by Lawal Muazu Bauchi, the governor made this known on Friday during the Nzem Berom cultural festival.
The event was tagged “The Berom Economy: A Metamorphosis”.
Speaking at the event, the governor emphasized the need to respect humanity and the diversity that exists among all.
He said his administration recognizes the rights of minorities and has used small resources in the first tenure to do a lot of infrastructure in both rural and urban areas across the state.
He further assured to continue to work hard in collaboration with the incoming People's Democratic Party (PDP) administration in Plateau to ensure the two states remain peaceful.
He further reiterated his commitment to the actualisation of the Sayawa Chiefdom in his state.
While congratulating the Gbong Gwom Jos on the celebration of the event, the governor called on the traditional ruler to support him with guides for the selection and implementation of the Chiefdom.
