Bauchi Governor joins President Tinubu at Saudi-Africa summi

The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi-Africa Summit scheduled for November 10, 2023.

The Governor who joined the president on Thursday is also expected to perform the lesser Hajj after the summit.

The summit would provide the platform for the President to deepen partnership with Saudi Arabia and woo new investors.

Governor Mohammed is also expected to interact with potential investors to look at areas of mutual interest in Bauchi State.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity had on Wednesday said the president would engage in discussions to address security challenges and facilitate economic growth.

AllNews Nigeria reports that the president arrived in Riyadh on Thursday morning ahead of the summit scheduled for Friday.

"At the Saudi-Africa Summit, the President will underscore Nigeria’s commitment to attracting more Foreign Direct Investment and expanding business partnerships, which are strongly reinforced by his administration's ongoing domestic economic reforms.

"Discussions at the first Saudi-Africa Summit will revolve around supporting joint action, enhancing political coordination, addressing regional security threats, facilitating economic transformation through research and the local development of new energy solutions, all while bolstering cross-sectoral investment cooperation," Ngelale said.
