Bauchi Governor Reiterates Commitment To Improving Healthcare Delivery

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his administration's commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the state.

He said his administration would collaborate with relevant stakeholders to bring more improvement to the health sector in his second tenure.

The governor made this known when he was presented with the cheque of N485 million as the state emerged runner-up from North-East at the Leadership Challenge Award.

The award was organised by the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation, Aliko Dangote Foundation and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Lawal Muazu Bauchi, New Media aide to the governor, made this known in a statement on Thursday.

According to Bauchi, the governor was commended for his outstanding performance in the improvement of healthcare delivery in the state and his exemplary leadership. 

The presentation ceremony had Governors and too government officials including the President of the 8th Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki among others.

The state's Commissioner for Health, Dr Sabiu Gwalabe was also present at the event.
