Bayelsa: EDTF Distributes Computers, Accessories For Coding,

12 model schools across the eight local governments in Bayelsa State have received computers and accessories for coding and robotics practicals, courtesy of the Bayelsa Educational Development Trust Fund (EDTF).

The presentation of the materials was made to the benefitting school principals by Dr Gentle Emelah, the Commissioner for Education in Bayelsa on Wednesday in Yenagoa.

According to Emelah, the state government is committed to providing quality education in all parts of the state.

The equipment was distributed following an earlier training of 103 students on computer programming and robotics and will provide an opportunity for students to have practical training.

The Commissioner urged the principals to make the computers and materials available to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) teachers who had been trained earlier in coding and robotics.

The occasion also witnessed the grand finale of the Schools Debate sponsored by EDTF for 32 schools from the eight council areas in Bayelsa.
