The Bayelsa State Police Command has foiled the kidnap of a medical doctor attached to the General Hospital Odi, Kolokuma/ Opukuma Local Government Area of the State.
The force was said to have received information that some suspected kidnappers went to the doctors’ quarters at the General Hospital Odi, and attempted to kidnap him, but met his absence.

On the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Mike Okoli, the anti-kidnapping team went to Odi town and arrested the five suspects, NAN reports.
He said that the five-man gang, all in their early 20s, had confessed to the crime.
AllNews learnt investigation into the matter is ongoing and suspects would soon be charged to court.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police has arrested four men who abducted a 14-year-old girl, locked her in a room, and repeatedly raped her in Bauchi State.
