Bayer Leverkusen overcome VfB Stuttgart in  German DFB Cup f

Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen defeated fellow Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart 3-2 in the German DFB Cup Contest on Tuesday night.

Following the match at hand, it was the visitors that took the early lead in the contest. Stuttgart's Waldrmar Anton opened the scoring in the 11th minute to gift his visiting side the lead.

However, despite all the attempts Bayer Leverkusen had amid their favourite tag before this tie, they couldn't get a goal in the first half.

It finished 1-0 at the break in favour of VfB Stuttgart. After the intermission, Leverkusen was back on level terms as Robert Andrich scored to make it 1-1 in the 50th minute.

The visitors regained the lead in the 58th minute following a goal from Chris Fuhrich. Enzo Millot assisted Fuhrich's goal.

Leverkusen equalized again in the 67th as Amine Adli made it 2-2 for the home side in this match. German talent Florian Wirtz assisted Adli's goal.

The Bayer Leverkusen's side would not relent as they pushed for the winning goal following the confidence that was a result of their equalizer in the match.

Leverkusen was rewarded with the winning goal as Jonathan Tah scored in the 90th minute to make it 3-2. Jonathan was assisted by his Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz.
