Bayern Set To Sign Cancelo, Pavard Close To Barca Move

Joao Cancelo

Bayern Munich are edging closer to signing Portuguese wing-back Joao Cancelo to replace possible outgoing Benjamin Pavard.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are set to sign full-back Joao Cancelo on loan from Manchester City. Likely to include a buy option.

Manchester City full-back is poised to sign for Bayern Munich on loan before the January transfer deadline.

The Portuguese has fallen out of favour in recent weeks but it is reportedly 'unclear' why Pep Guardiola has sanctioned his exit at this late stage of the window.

Pavard 'Loves To Be Cule'

French right-back Benjamin Pavard is running out of contract in 2024 and with the news of Cancelo's potential arrival, he might be looking for a way out sooner rather than later.

Pavard during an interview said, "Would love to be a cule".

That could put Xavi and Barca's board on high alert as they have been looking for an ideal right-back for a while.

However, it appears Barcelona are looking most likely at the time of writing.

According to native journalist Toni Juanmarti, several of his sources at the club have confirmed that Pavard could join the club in the summer.

It remains a possibility as Barcelona do not know exactly how much money they will be able to spend in the summer window, due to their salary limit struggles.

However, according to his information, Pavard’s camp have let the club know that he would love to join them.
