Big Brother Naija 'Shine Ya Eye' housemate, Maria, has countered her previous claim that alcohol influenced her to tell Pere to take off his microphone after the Saturday night party.

In her diary session, she apologized to Big Brother for disregarding his rules. She said that she was not drunk when she ordered Pere to take off his microphone, maintaining that she did not know what prompted her to take the decision.

She said, "I wasn't drunk and I don't know what got into my head to tell Pere to take off his mic. This is coming from a place of deep down honesty. I don't know what I was thinking that day. I'm so so sorry. 

"I didn't mean to disrespect you and that is on God. I can't blame it on alcohol coz I literally was not drunk whatsoever."

After she got a strike for microphone infringement alongside Pere and JMK on Monday night, Maria told Tega that she was overly drunk and did not realize when she ordered Pere to take off his microphone and when she also took hers off.
