Three of the Big Brother 'Shine Ya Eye' housemates, Pere, Maria and JMK have been issued a strike each for microphone infringement.
As an additional punishment, they are barred from participating in HOH games and cannot enjoy veto save and replace for the next two weeks. They also cannot access the Head of House lounge.
On Monday evening, Big Brother played the clip where Maria asked Pere to remove his microphone, and according to Article 19, which he read, if any housemate tampers with microphone or damages it, Big Brother reserved the right to issue a strike or disqualify the housemate.
“For the continued microphone infringement, you are hereby issued a strike. This is the first strike for each of you. Two more strikes and you will be disqualified from the 'Shine Ya Eye' house.
“Aside from the strike. you are hereby barred from the Head of House position or privileges for two weeks starting today. This means, no immunity, no veto save, and no access to the Head of House lounge.”
According to Biggie's rule, housemates are not supposed to communicate without cameras/microphones recording the communication i.e. they are not to tamper with microphones, write secret messages, communicate with codes, whisper, or move their mouth without talking.
