Every season, Big Brother Naija confines a particular number of housemates (HM) under the same roof for a specified period with no access to the outside world. Dozens of cameras and microphones are put in place to record their every move to the delight of viewers.
To survive the competition, the HMs are expected to have big personalities that will enable them win the heart of viewers, who in turn vote for who stays and who leaves. At times, the HMs nominate one of their own for possible eviction.
The eviction style, however, depends on Big Brother himself.
The real entertainment is when the HMs' personalities start to clash. What do we expect anyway? Putting grown-ups under the same roof for months, of course, personality tension will set in.
There are villains who are always on the lookout to create trouble and cause the much-needed drama that viewers crave and there are mediators who try to quench fights and make everyone bond.
We have those whose sole purpose of coming into the house is finding their soul mates. How can we forget the playboy/girl character who wants to have a taste of everybody in the house with no intention of committment.
How about the chef? There is always that one housemate who takes it upon themself to make sure other housemates are well-fed.
Of course, there will be that one jester who gets on everybody's nerves. But this type of personality is usually fun. when you stay around them for long, they tend to grow on you.
Despite their character flaws, the HMs all in the house to win the cash prize and of course, gain the fame that comes with being a contestant on the reality show.
