BBNaija’s Phyna Reacts To Backlash Over ‘Yahoo Boy’ Comment

Following the controversy sparked by her recent comments on ‘yahoo boy’ culture, Phyna has taken to her social media accounts to address the backlash.

The reality TV star expressed frustration with the misinterpretation of her words and accused people of twisting her statements without having access to the full context.

Via her Instagram story, the BBNaija season 7 winner wrote; “It has come to my notice that everybody loves misunderstanding and twisting my words without having to hear or see a full video.

“You know what keeps your heads real high because una go twist and misunderstand tire.

“We gather dey. Happy Valentine's Day my die-hard fans.”

In a recent podcast appearance, the reality TV star revealed that her longest relationship was with a yahoo boy who never gave her any financial support.

Phyna, who will be turning 26 this year, went on to say that many young men who engage in fraudulent activities commonly referred to as 'yahoo boys,' do not financially support their partners and often prioritize clubbing and flaunting their material possessions.
