The State Coordinator, National Youth Servie Corps (NYSC), Osun State, Agbor Ndoma Obim, has advised the 2022 Batch B Stream 1 corps members to be good ambassadors of the scheme.
Obim gave the advice on Thursday, May 25, 2023, as the batch of corps members disengaged from their mandatory one year national service.
The passing out was held on a low key across the local government areas in the state.
Commemorating the Corps Members, he commended them for a successful service year as well appreciated them for leaving worthy legacies through the various Community Development Service (CDS).
In furtherance on the essence of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme, he urged the Corps Members to utilise the skills they acquired through the scheme effectively stressing that the it served as a platform to empower Corps Members toward self reliance and employment generation.
According to Agbor, the total number of Batch B Stream 1 Corps Members in Osun State was 2527 out of which 22 Corps Members absconded while 9 Corps Members were given an extension of service.
The number of the qualified Corps Members who passed out was 2496.
He also expressed his gratitude to the management and staff in the State, corps employers and those who immensely contributed to the successful service year of the 2022 Batch B Stream 1 Corps Member.
