Belarus' long-time running president, Alexander Lukashenko, has said that the country will not be holding any other election "until you kill me."
Lukashenko faces a massive wave of protest in the wake of the August 9 election where he won by a wide margin.
According to Tut.by, a media outlet, Lukashenko said, "We held elections already. Until you kill me, there will be no other elections."
Reacting to the news of Lukashenko's victory in the elections, the UK's Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, had said that the UK rejects the result, describing it as "fraudulent".
Raab has called for an independent probe into the election, as it was tainted by violence that suppressed the "peaceful protests" in the country's capital of Minsk.
He tweeted, "The world has watched with horror at the violence used by the Belarusian authorities to suppress the peaceful protests that followed this fraudulent presidential election.
"We urgently need an independent investigation through the OSCE into the flaws that rendered the election unfair, as well as the grisly repression that followed."

Lukashenko said that he was willing to make some concessions like changing the constitution and sharing power but will not do so under duress.
He said, "you should never expect me to do something under pressure.
"They (new elections) won't happen."
Lukashenko said that the country's government was looking to amend the constitution that aims to decentralise power.
His opposition, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, who is on exile in Lithuania, said, in a video, that she was ready to take responsibility as president of Belarus.
She said, "I am ready to take responsibility and act as a national leader during this period."
