Fast-rising Nigerian act, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has tendered an unreserved apology to the veteran comedian, Seyi Law for missing his show in Ekiti on June 20.
Seyi Law had booked Bella Shmurda to perform at his show but the singer did not show up, claiming that he was not aware of the arrangement. His record label also issued a disclaimer to that effect.
In response, Seyi Law posted the photo of the person who was paid for the appearance, identified as Tobi Oyedele aka Jiggy. Seyi Law stated that Bella Shmurda's management refused to acknowledge the payment and also rejected all pleas to accept new negotiation.
Seyi Law added that he will intimate the right authority on the matter and let his legal team take it from there.
Via Twitter on Monday, Bella Shmurda told his side of the story. He said he respects Seyi Law as a veteran in the entertainment industry and would not intentionally disregard him. The 'Rush' singer explained that the cause of the issue is a misunderstanding, adding that the comedian's team booked him through someone who is no longer on his team.
The singer then appreciated Ali Baba and ID Cabasa for trying to settle the issue.
