Bellingham Becomes England's Youngest Scorer In World Cup

Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund Jude Bellingham scored England's first goal against Iran on Monday in Qatar.

An inviting cross from Manchester United Luke Shaw was met with Bellingham's head to set the ball at the top corner past substitute keeper Hossein Hosseini.

Bellingham (19y 145d) has just become England's youngest goalscorer at FIFA World Cup match since Michael Owen (18y 190d) found the net in their 2-1 loss to Romania on 22 June 1998.

His goal set the pace for England as Bukayo Saka's volley and Raheem Sterling's tap-in took England 3 goals above opponents Iran.

The match as of halftime is England 3, Iran 0.
